"I
always felt life was depressing enough to paint depressing
pictures. So I took the medium and made it sing with
color. All my artwork is for sale, and I'm open to custom
paintings and mural work. It's another part of me that keeps
me in balance. All of nature speaks to me, and I try to convey
that in my work."

| Born
in Brooklyn, New York, inspired by her Italian-American background,
MER drew on everything! At an early age her drawings
were easily recognized as hers. Her style still carries her
unique imprint. MER works primarily in watercolors enjoying
their soft transparent quality as well as the bold colors the
medium offers. MER studied briefly at the N.Y.
School of Visual Arts, and with the New York watercolorists
Dr. Elwyn Saviet and Fumio Kino. MER'S influences stem from
her various travels to the Caribbean, West Indies, Mexico, Europe,
and the Southwest. |
